I've been wanting to get my hands on some MC so i can see just how good it is(i hear great things!) so i did some search online and i bought some, i couldnt wait and i read more about it and found out that other things have it..like pepto bismol so i tried it on two small 6inch by6inch piece of tissue and EUREEEEEEEEEEKA' it worked. So to those who want to give MC a try..get ur hands on some Pepto :) im sure the real thing is better but till it gets here Pepto it is.

Didn't it make your paper pink and smell like peppermint or is that only the type of pepto I've seen so far

Wait, so instead of buying that expensive pink stuff whenever i dont feel good, all I have to do is hawk down some methylcellulose

@Average folder, I know you were joking, but MC is used in laxatives such as Citrucel (Much more expensive than plain MC from the Pharmacist.)

Pepto tends to coat your stomach and slow things down, having the opposite effect.

I don't think hydroxyethyl will have the same effect on paper as methyl cellulose...

i use hydroxyl methyl cellulose. it only gets strong when its thick though, so i mix some up. then before it fully expands i put it on the paper. it works really good

Personal lubricant, the new revolution in premium origami papers.

LOL!

It's hydroxyethyl, according to google both hydroxyethy and methyl cellulose are using for sizing paper. Otherwise your guess is as good as mine.
