Glue for origami paper

My son is selling origami at our local farmer's market. Some of his projects are very fragile and will fall apart if not handled gently. What would be the best glue or paste to use to discreetly provide stability for these projects?

I've heard of people using hairspray to stiffen their Origami models, but haven't tried it myself so far.

Try spraying the paper with wheat starch, or methyl cellulose (MC) before your son starts folding them, and teach him how to wet fold. A good source of tips and tricks using wetfolding is in the link below, in Robert Lang's website. Some of the papers he suggests are quite expensive, but if you can find a good source of cheaper, quality kozo, and follow what the link says to do, you should have very rigid models, with the bonus being that they look better, and are easier to fold if your son wet folds them. I'd like to ask you one thing: what paper is he using at present, and what models is your son folding to make them so delicate that they break or fall apart? If I have an answer, I might be able to help you even more.

Nori paste is also excellent, and should be available at most art suppliers.
