Re: What To Fold
Kamiya's tanuki would look good in that.
it would work good if you put some methylcellulose on it.
and lokta is "furry" on one side usually...so if it is then its lokta.

Re: What To Fold
would Brian Chan's Perched Locust work on 25cm terry foil?

Re: What To Fold
I'm not sure if it's "furry" per se, but it does have thicvker fibers spread randomly throughout.phillipcurl wrote:Kamiya's tanuki would look good in that.

And thanks for the suggestion--I've always wanted to try that model.

Re: What To Fold
Okay, I'm still working my way through this http://www.origami-shop.com/en/origami- ... -1944.html
I want to use some of the tissue foil, all the colours of terry tissue foil at 30x30cm, I'd like something intermediate-complex and on any subject matter
Thanks

Re: What To Fold
Fold a few of Satoshi's things or a couple models from 50hrs+. A lot of those would look good in tissue foil. (Satoshi's Wizard, Hoang Trung Thanh's Eagle, etc).

Do you think that eagle would be possible from 30x30?Baltorigamist wrote:Fold a few of Satoshi's things or a couple models from 50hrs+. A lot of those would look good in tissue foil. (Satoshi's Wizard, Hoang Trung Thanh's Eagle, etc).
I thought you needed like 50x50cm paper

Re: What To Fold
I haven't folded it yet, but the wing pleats are 64ths. So they'd be a bit less than 1/2cm wide--pretty manageable.
The toes might be tough though--all those tiny reverse-folds

Re: What To Fold
It wouldn't be impossible, I actually think it would be easy.toto93 wrote:Do you think that eagle would be possible from 30x30?Baltorigamist wrote:Fold a few of Satoshi's things or a couple models from 50hrs+. I made the base of bahamut as a test from 15x15 cm kami and i thought it was pretty easy.
you just have to precrease everything before doing it.
Re: What To Fold
Okay I tried it. Like you said. I couldn't do the claws and certain other details, I'm reasonably pleased with the result though. Check out the results on my flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigbadpiano/
Also, anything else you suggest I try from 30x30cm terry tissue foil, all colours
