Yo.
Do you guys know how to merge 4 or more sheets of paper at their edges?
(with out tape, as it leaves the unruly line through the centre.)

Black magic. Or if you were super careful with the MC, it might get close.

Depending on the paper, but for lokta or elephant hide (or anything sufficiently thick) I prefer to use book binder's glue, it contains much less water and wil not only dry faster but also make fewer bulges along the junction. I place the sheets I want to join with some overlap and put a couple of weights on them, so that the sheets can't move relative to one another. Then I lift an edge, apply glue on a few inches and press immediately, bit by bit, like closing a zipper :D.

If you want to get super-fancy, you could tear the edges being bound, then glue them together. The loose fibers of a torn edge are much less noticeable than a hard, cut edge.

And here I thought I was the only one crazy enough to be doing this

Thanks again, guys, I tried taping at first, ended up screwing up 3 pieces of paper, so instead of a square, I had to settle for a 2 by 1 rectangle, folding a Paul Jackson Abstract thing.
