I'm listening to Nick Drake at the moment... not my regular fare, but it works very nicely due to the fact that it's raining outside and I'm a little depressed.

when I'm really depressed I put in my Illuminate CDs. their songs are sooooo depressing that you can even become sad when you where happy before.

now i'm listening to "ja funmi" by King Sunny Ade. he's a nigerian guy who sort of blends modern(ish) pop and electric guitar-influenced stuff with traditional african rhythms and instruments.

i just wish i understood the words. :(

Lately I've been listening to alot of classic rock, and then trying and failing to replicate them on my guitar.
I've also, for some unknown reason, started listening to Primus again. The music is SO extremely weird, and not very easy to listen to, but it gives you some cool ideas, musically.

I´m listening to a compressor, an optical emission spectrometer, an ultrasonic bath (very loud and annoying), ventilators, as well as a barely understandable radio.

Chris, Great Big Sea is from right to the north of me, in Newfoundland. :D I'm pretty sure I've seen some concerts that were nearby...

right now i'm listening to "workinonit" by j dilla. an insanely talented hip hop producer, he went pretty much unnoticed by the mainstream for years. recently he died (he was about 30 or something. he wrote his last full length in hospital with a stack of vinyl, apparently).. a lot of young producers are trying to fill the gap but most are failing. :(

ok well i changed song. now i'm listening to "two can win", same dude.

we had a special radio program with jazz and classics. it was a very good mixture without too much news or merchandizing. unfortunately the frequency was given to an alternative radio project with a lot of chatter.

Right now i am listening to The Devil in the Wishing Well by Five For Fighting, its a really nice song. I enjoy listening to a wide range of music types. Later I'll be listening to MO DO, they are this German techno / dance band.

By the way, Great Big sea are awesome. It's been a while since i've heard there music, i might have to go out and buy on of their cds :D
