Learning Spanish in school now and am loving it. The teacher is great. Spanish seems so much easier to speak than English, although I only know how to ask, answer, and translate; I have written some sentences on the tests.

My Grandfather's first language was German, but he speaks English (most of the time).

I like this topic, something I can brag about!

I speak, read and write English, Spanish, French and Japanese. I can talk with almost no problems with Portuguese and Italian speakers. Learning German at the moment. Also speak some very basic Bulgarian and Russian and can read Cyliric.

And don't get me started on computer languages... Let's just say that I'm an IT major.

In my personal experience, English is by far the easiest and most useful language nowadays. Spanish is the most beautiful and expressive one. And probably Japanese is the funnest to write, it really takes your inner artist out.

Since I live in Malaysia, and I was forced to attend a Chinese school by my parents, I can speak English, Malay and Chinese. My Malay is terrible, and I haven't spoken Chinese for two years ever since I went to secondary school, so I'm only fluent in English. Now I can't even read simple Chinese sentences without hurting my brain. And you all know that the brain has no pain receptors.
