Good work.
Maybe you should get yourself a bonefolder. Those come in very handy when working with paper as stiff as elephant hide. Back in the days when I folded exclusively with ultra thin papers I couldn't understand why people would use bonefolders but nowadays that I use a broader range of papers I learned to love a good bonefolder (got a really good one by Martha Stewart from Mark Kennedy several years ago).
What have you folded lately?

Nice work!
Nice work!
Re: What have you folded lately?
Was inspired to fold something from elephant hide after seeing unknownfolder's Inoshishigami
This is Roman Diaz's design. From "Origami Essence"
Wild Boar by ginshun, on Flickr
And an Ant, from Origami Insects 2. This paper is "Shadow Fold". It is pretty, but not very strong. It ripped during the last steps. This is what I could salvage.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Well done, ginshun! That paper suits the boar very nicely.
I did get some yellow Elephant Hide (35 cm squares) as a gift. I decided to do Komatsu’s Lion as my first fold with it!

I’m pleased with the result, but I am a bit worried about it gradually coming unfolded.
Thanks for the recommendation! I probably should have included that on my Christmas list.origami_8 wrote: ↑November 23rd, 2020, 10:03 am Good work.

Whenever I do complex Origami I get this sinking feeling.

I folded Fumiaki Kawahat's Yoda using double tissue treated with potato mash flakes and a bit of PVA.
I folded Miyajima's bat using just a double tissue treated with the potato mush flakes, but without PVA.

I folded this model using a 40 cm square of non-bleeding double tissue paper treated with rice flour paste.
