WHAAAAAAT??? When did I become a super member? To celebrate, I'mma fold Quentin Trollip's Bald Eagle. I've got a sheet of burghundy-white unryu drying as we speak. I haven't done much folding lately, but state testing is this week, which will translate into no homework! :P . Anyways, here are all my best miniatures on a 30 cm sheet. Its a bit blurry, but itnwas hard to focus on everything.

Blehhh! Of course I got a few teachers who gave homework the night before MCAS. I was able to finish the eagle, but the damn paper did not want to be a perfect square, so I had to use 24*24 cm kami as a template. For the size, I'm happy with it(Quentin recommends at least 60*60 cm using 80 gsm paper, I used 70 gsm in 24 cm!)

Thanks! The blue one is Terry Tissue-Foil, and the red one is kraft I treated with MC and red and silver acrylic paint.

I have folded this 3 times, and only once got a satisfactory result. Surprisingly, it came out best with the smallest paper. Here it is, Quentin Trollip's African Elephant, folded from tracing paper colored with crayons(do not use this paper. It's awful.)

Just a question about the blue little bird... What was the model like folding from terry tissue foil, did the model hold itself together well or did the legs spread? I'm just wondering because I recently folded komatsu's giraffe out of terry tissue foil and found that paper wasn't what I expected. The legs spread a lot and inserting a paper clip inside the body was the only way to keep it together. I have some more sheets of terry tissue foil and I want to try the little bird but I don't want to waste the paper... Thanks!

It holds together pretty well. Then again, I folded the section at the top of the leg different. If you kind of reverse fold the belly where the legs start, you can create a gap between the two legs. Now put laundry clips or whatever they're called on the base of the legs where they meet the bally. Hold it in there for a few days, and it should hold fine. Folding the tip in the belly locks it.The legs were the only part tghat gave me trouble. If you need pics of how to fold the leg-belly area, just tell me. Hop I helped :P .

Ok thanks! I think I understand. I have an old crappy fold lying around somewhere so I'll try and experiment on the legs on that. But if I can't work it out a photo or 2 would be much appreciated :)
