Another model using my figure base:
Cyclops folded from a 15cm x 15cm sheet of Japanese foil with tissue paper glued on the white side.

I don't recall having seen an Origami Cyclops before...
So long and keep folding ^_^

Does anyone know the author/name of the tube thingy? I saw it in Paul Jackson's book and couldn't find any diagrams in the book... It was so simple I eventually figured it out...
Tomoko Fuse documents a model just like this one in Home Decorating with Origami. In that book, it's called Flower Vase Cover 1. Flower Vase Cover 2 is similar, but with equalateral triangles instead of 45/45/90 triangles.

She also has a couple other variations on the same theme.

Today I learned a valuable lesson: looseleaf (lined paper) tears very easily! I folded Brill's Fox twice in school today, the first one ripped in half and the second ripped straight down the head (ouch!) I also folded the octgonal flower, with a different stem (a rolled up rectangle) twice... the demands for origami from my friends is through the roof! I could honestly sell my work, people like it so much, mainly because they've never seen it before!

PS: origami93, I like your dog! :D

Fred Rohm's Star of David.

Yes, I know I did not lock the top together, but this was my first time folding this star, and I was essentially working off of Brimstone's CP.

Now that you understood how the model works, what you have to do is leave a small fringe on the side for the final locking, then modify the size of the bill so it has again the tangent of 22.5 as the relation between the long and short sides. To do this you need to fold a little on the top and bottom. Then fold the model and at the end unfold the fringe of the side, interlace it with the other side and lock the model. Piece of cake

Welcome to the forum, Shadowsong! Very nicely folded model. If possible, could you make you picures a little bigger next time, so that you can see all the details?
It looks like color changes to me :D
