HAHAHA. Yeah, I guess T-Rexes were really horny creatures...

Only four arms, cupcake? Six ribs, two arms. The arms have two fingers at the end of them...

Very nice dragon! I like the effort you put into the claws, most claws that are folded look bad.
Oh, there are lots of ancient dragon models posted....look in pages around 30....I think.

Crane. This is basically a variation of my dollar crane. folded from a Star Burst wrapper, no cuts.
Image

Eight Diamonds, A failed attempt at folding from memory Kenneth M. Kawamura's Eleven diamonds, also folded with a wrong proportioned piece of paper.....so, oh well.

Dragon, Robert Neal (I think) folded from a Star burst wraper. Edited by me.

Edited by Aznman suggestion and to correct a typo:

Hey Darksoul, that dragon of yours looks really good. Carefully folded. The beetle is not bad either. Congratulations. These are the first two model folded by you that I've seen and they look promising. Post more.

Aznman I think he was being sarcastic when he said there were not many dragons on these boards

That is possible, I suppose. But he is right in a way, there have not been many dragons posted on this topic for a while.

P.S. proper grammar would be, "That dragon of your's looks really good," or "really nice." well, would be used to describe his folding ability, "you fold well," "You folded your model well....."

It looks somewhat like a crane with legs and wings :? At least from that camera angle.

Thank you, I have several other models posted somewhere around on this topic. The beetle is folded out of glassiesse, and I could have never folded it with any other paper available for me.

I think you mean glassine paper. Well, you probably meant glassiesse, but in english, I think it is glassine, Which is an acid free tissue. Could you confirm this Darksoul?

Yes indeed it is called glassine in English or maybe I am reading wrong the label in spanish (Goes and checks if it is indeed glassine and not glassiesse).

How strong is glassine? Would it be suitable for complex models in general? (I'm thinking specifically of Origami Insects II, which I have finally ordered but I do not have suitable paper to fold with right now.)

I find glasine very suitable for complex models that require successive thinning and it's quite strong and crisp, take for instance Dr. Robert Lang Praying Mantis from his book Origami Insects II:
Image

This is yet another model that I managed to fold only with glassine or glassiesse, whatever; you can tell that the legs can be folded really thin and when it comes to strength take a look at the torax:

Image

Thin and no paper tear, well if you can tell from the picture. I had to fold this model three times the first two the paper teared while crimping the torax the first with tracing paper and the second with manifold. And it even gives a cool look to the model.

Well enough glassine publicity.
