Root beer and Origami: The Combination! Just bought some light kami from some store. It'll work well for the simple models in my soon-to-be-here "origami essence". Hopefully It will arrive by Monday. Here's a pic of just the rose:

Hey everyone.
Kawaski's frog, from kami.

Joisel's little demon, take 3.
Printer paper.Looks more like a goblin to me.

And finally, a trilobite I designed. Folded from a chopstick wrapper. I'm still working on getting a more textured back, and folding it from better paper. I started out folding with the intentions of making an eastern dragon, because of the paper ratio. However, I couldn't end up getting long enough extensions for legs, so I moved on to this subject. The unit used for the legs is a waterbomb with the top sunk halfway in. It's not a very efficient design, because the unit takes up a whole lot of space and doesn't make long legs anyway. However, because of paper ratio and subject, a little creature with tons of little legs was perfect. Here's the shell of the little guy.
And the legs. (it has 12, i think)

And partially unfolded to show the structure. The legs take up most of the paper, and the rest is folded over and made into a shell.

Please comment, everybody.

Trilobite Refold. Still no antenna. Now with 16 legs.

Joisel rats...

This is the better of the two.

Cruddy fold of Trollip's pig. My first one was destroyed by a sibling, so I hurriedly folded this one.

And finally, some of my recent works in cubes.

Anybody know how to make a tetrahedra with this method? I'm thinking about a house. My first idea was to stack layers of boxes, making a step pyramid, then add a cube below it. Any ideas?

Hi,
I'm new in this forum, even if I was reading it since a long time.
I'm not English spoken, and perhaps my messages will look funny or not so polite, I apologize since now.
I see your works on cubes, perhaps you may find some hint here:

I remember of some Inca pyramid and other architectural building on an old Convention book of CDO (the Italian association), I may check if you are interested.

Hey everyone. It seems it's been a while.
Lafosse's Goldfish. He says once quality emerges, STOP. I followed his advice, but it was frustrating because I like detail work.

I also played around with my old rose.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Well now I have a few Tissue foil models ready to show. First is Milkiller's Gabriel. It was from his pattern, but I wandered away from it for a little bit... The wings are also concave. (convex?) they bulge from the back.

Ughh... Sorry for no replies for a while. There will be more, i promise!
Spiky cuboctohedron, 12 units.

Robert Lang's Cicada, test folds 1 and 2. Probably not gonna finish these.

Fox by Roman Diaz, who is the NYC convention's 2010 guest! Yay! 6 inch kami.

Ship, Patricia Crawford. Tissue foil, 8 inches.

Butterfly, by Dr. Lang. 8 inch tissue foil.

Bullfrog, by Roman Diaz. 8 inch kami.

Koi, by Sipho Mabona. I found a way to use a flap to lock the fins together.

One of my first original designs, (that i'm proud of) is this little bird. 8 inch tissue foil.
