Jason's Nazgul isn't that tough to collapse. There is quite a lot in getting from the base to the finished Nazgul though. On the other hand, the Jewel beetle crease pattern almost gets you to the finished beetle.

If you want a challenging CP, try Jason's shrimp.

Also, his older work, mainly from 2004, was ridiculously difficult. This was when he was designing something new every couple weeks. Sometime in early 2005 Jason got it right, and started making much better, but more infrequent pieces. His stuff keeps getting better, even if he only makes a few things a year.

By the way, Anermak, you have shown that you are proficient at solving CPs, but I would suggest that you spend more time and put more care into each one, so it comes out looking good.

origamimasterjared I with the big pleasure would look as you or Mr. Ku would make better Nazgul or Jewel beetle from that paper by which I do.   Unfortunately other paper at me is not present :!: :!: :!:

But probably you simply have weak representation about folding ÑÐ because its model Shrimp not such complex as seems  , if you understood on the given question is better, you probably so did not speak :)

I'm not attacking you, nor saying you're not a good folder. I was just saying that if you took a little more time in folding, your models would look better. (I have in mind a comment on Sipho's Samurai Helmet Beetle where you said it took you 40 minutes to fold--that is too short a time, even if you are a fast folder. You don't need Sipho's 5 hours, but I would think you should take at least 2 hours). Regardless of the paper I'm using, a complex model generally takes me 2-4 hours to fold. That's on moderately fast mode. If I'm making exhibit pieces it may take much more.

I take into account locating the creases when I talk about the difficulty of the crease pattern. Also paper thickness, difficult to fold creases, etc. Yes, I know that the Nazgul CP is harder than it looks. I've folded it a couple times. I find that the Shrimp looks harder to collapse (including locating the creases). I haven't folded it yet.

You're pretty good, and I'm sure that if you had better paper you'd be even better. But even taking more time and care with bad paper will help.

I did the same thing as anermak when we folded the heads. The snout of Joisel's is too long. It looks cuter when it's shorter. How long did it take you to fold it? It took me forever to make the baby version but then again I was using 15cm foil...
