Pegasus (Satoshi Kamiya - 'Works of Satoshi Kamiya') - wrapping paper 40x40 cm ... slightly to heavy for this model. First attempt, still requires some modeling ....

Nice Pegasus!

 Suggestion: Try to round out or soften the angle of the wing. Keeping it pointy makes the wing look like bat wings.

Since the company I'm working for moved to a new location a while ago, there were some business cards with the old address to spare. A menger sponge of level 1 (my patience for modular folding wouldn't have allowed a higher level...) folded with about 250 cards was the result. Thanks to Anna for folding some of the cubes :-)

Thanks! I know what you mean. Next time I will use soften paper and modeling will be fine.

Such a nice model, I think I'll fold it with color paper very soon. If you could see the colors, the stem and leaves would be green, while the petals would be red :D

The following model are some that I will use better paper for:
Fujin, Trần Trung Hiếu

I have fixed up the model a bit after I took the picture... It's actually better than it looks, and it really deserves better paper

Cyclommatus Metallifer, Hiba

I wasn't looking at the picture when I was adding the details, so I didn't realise what I'd missed. Very nice model :D

Say Cupcake, do you have a link for a picture of that Fujin model? I tried to search for it on Google, but to no avail. Also, what is it supposed to be? If it's what I think it is, then it would pair up nicely with Hojyo Takashi's god of thunder.

I would have folded this model in color, but I started folding it before the discussion came up about me using color. (I was using this model to make my diagrams)

I have the feeling you misunderstood something, the discussion wasn´t about colour, it was about the kind of paper you are using. Please feel free to use white paper, but white paper of better quality like thin kraftpaper or double mc treated tissue paper,...
Copy paper is just too thick for the models you are usually folding, so they just look like a crumpled something. Don´t misunderstand me, nobody thinks that it depends on a lack of skill, it´s just the false medium you´re using.

Umm... Well, I knew that, yet for some reason I referred to it as color...
I'd really like some kraft paper (no ones answered me as to where to find it), or maybe that paper that anermak uses.
But I will continue to fold my first attempts in copy paper. I don't want to use nice paper to make a crumpled heap, copy paper is better for that.
