I disagree in this point because copy paper not only needs to be cut square first but also rips easily and doesnÂ´t show colourchanges.

For doodling I use either memocube paper or cheap precut Origami paper.

ItÂ´s not so hard to fold, only time expensive.
Many people make the mistake to use too large paper for their first try, thinking it would be easier but exactly the reverse is the case. I wouldnÂ´t take a longer rectangle than 2m for this model.
How many have I folded? Two and a half. On my first try some years ago I lost interest half way through. The five meter long painting paper I used was of very bad quality and ripped in some places when only being folded once...
Now the 1m paper was nice to handle but sometimes a little bit small, using foil was a good choice, so for a first try I would recomend foilpaper around 1.5m long and a night to work through because itÂ´s better to make it in one go and donÂ´t stop in between. If you have a fellow folder, do it together (GerwinÂ´s third clock should be ready soon), late night folding sessions are a lot of fun

I also disagree, copy paper is way to thick and tends to rip fast with complex models. maybe you should try thin kraftpaper

besides: I never saw any of your models folded with nice paper. you made it even worse with colouring your copy paper in a really horrible way:

I agree with Chris, Crayons arenÂ´t the best way to colour paper.

I already knew that. However, you keep saying how copy paper rips easily. I haven't had any rip in a very long time!

Anna, did you make the clock out of foil from Nicholas Terry's shop? Is it the only place to buy foil that's a meter long? It looks amazingly clean for being only 10 cm wide

How about that Cupcacke:
You fold your models first with copy paper, now you know how to fold them, than you take a piece of nice paper fold it again and then take a photo and post it in "What have you folded lately", but only from the good paper model and not from the trash bin model.

Thats what I at first planned to do, but I guess that idea sort of died.
However, since I found new kami paper, I guess I could try it again
