It´s not so hard to fold, only time expensive.
Many people make the mistake to use too large paper for their first try, thinking it would be easier but exactly the reverse is the case. I wouldn´t take a longer rectangle than 2m for this model.
How many have I folded? Two and a half. On my first try some years ago I lost interest half way through. The five meter long painting paper I used was of very bad quality and ripped in some places when only being folded once...
Now the 1m paper was nice to handle but sometimes a little bit small, using foil was a good choice, so for a first try I would recomend foilpaper around 1.5m long and a night to work through because it´s better to make it in one go and don´t stop in between. If you have a fellow folder, do it together (Gerwin´s third clock should be ready soon), late night folding sessions are a lot of fun
