I finally got around to folding a no-gaps version like ted385 did, but I only used 4 units.

excellent! The only proble with folding the 25 cube one is that it gets very hard to stop from getting messy. Especially if you use small paper.

This topic is finally hot!

Razz - Please post pictures. Among other things, it encourages the rest of us, while providing a graphic history of progress.

Spiritofcat's models demonstrate a nice progression to try and to learn from.

Ok, I folded the first one, the box. It was pretty easy after I did my first one. I also closed the bottom by folding the flaps down in a circular direction, and then hooking the last flap under the first flap I folded down.

Here's the pictures:

It's my first CP.
It also gave me an idea of how to make a frog! :P

That's really cool how you folded the flaps under. Makes a nice cube that way. I'll have to try it.
Well done!

You could make it with however many intersections as you want fairly easily.
All you have to do is make a formation of Valley, Mountain, Valley across the paper, and then another the same width but down the paper, and then where they cross eachother, you do the X shaped bit from the CP.

I've changed this thread into my gallery now, so I'm posting a bunch of stuff that I made a while ago.

Edit: Apparently the allowed image size for this forum has changed in the last couple of years, so lots of my images are broken.
I've fixed up all the Flickr sourced ones since they're easy to get different sizes of, but those that are only on deviantART and not Flickr are more of a pain to fix, so I'll just replace those images with links to the deviantART pages they come from.

Some Flamingoes:
The first two are my own design, the other two are from diagrams I found online. All folded by me, from 10 by 10cm paper.

Big Modular constructions:
A 1st degree menger sponge, from Sonobe modular units, and a 30-unit ball from a frilled variation of Sobone units.
All units were made from 10 by 10cm paper. I made these years ago and have had them on display in my house since then.

Today at work I was fiddling with ideas for making a box pleated four legged animal. Ideally I want to make a Snowleopard, but first I'll need to be able to make a basic four legged animal shape.

So far I've made the tail and back legs.
These were folded from receipt paper.
The larger one was 12 divisions and the smaller was 16.
Image

Edit:
Another octopus. Same as before, but now from an A4 derived square of copy paper.

Not 100% happy with how the head turned out, and that tentacle on the right of the image is a bit fat.
The little pink one is still my favourite, but it was a good experience to make a bigger one.
