I finally have a prototype for a samurai-I've been working on it off and on but nothing clicked until now.

Not clean or anything yet, and I didn't thin or shape the fingers, but the design is there. And as you can see...

The legs are way too short. Still a ways to go...

Somehow I've been finding time to fold... It wasn't there before.

And a random note: Ever since I made my blog, I've been getting a lot of hits from people searching "satoshi, ancient, dragon, diagrams" in their search engines... it's annoying, knowing how many people are digging around for them.

p@: Stephen Weiss' Woodland Elf is a great model but you chose the weirdest angle to atke your picture and it can not be fully appreciated. Could you post another picture from the side?

His front legs remind of a pirate's peg leg.

Nice design. The layers on the head stack nicely to create the features. The flap on the back does get in the way, though, and the layers on the base of the tail also look a little unclean. You are getting there.

pyramid, cube, octahedron, icosahedron, dodecahedron (solid and nolid); and a six pointed star, all designed by john montroll, each one from an uncut square of copy paper.

p@, you folded the head very well which is not easy since the diagrams are not clear at all in that respect. Your mushroom needs a bit more work though. Maybe you should try a larger paper and have it look something like:
