Looks great. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but many people have created that exact same pyramid. It wasn't even original when I did it in 2003. If you search for aztec origami on flickr you'll see a couple of them.

Yes, it is a very common design. I've done it before, too. Mine included an entry gateway.
