Yeah, Kawahata is my favourite...
Sorry for posting this again.
Black Panther
Designed from an uncut square Sept 2007
This panther was folded from purple paper, like Grayskull's panther from the He-Man cartoons years ago!!

Detail showing feet, teeth and whiskers

Beautiful model. He looks mean, just about ready to pounce!qtrollip wrote:Black Panther

This is the hardest thing I find, breathing life into finished pieces.
As I don't wet fold or MC - "re-size" or anything, just the cheapest possible butter or typing paper, I guess I'm at a disadvantage.
Well, that and my general incompetence.
I updates some CPs.... I am curious if people could fold the CP of my Weevil and then make a model out of it without seeing what my actual model is.
this is the CP:

You and your funky reference points. The first ones were pretty normal, but then you had some that looked obvious...merman wrote:I am curious if people could fold the CP of my Weevil and then make a model out of it without seeing what my actual model is.

Not sure that you would fold it this way--I used concentric pleat-sinking to narrow the legs, and a bunch of spread-sinks in the abdomen. Also, all those visible creases were me mis-estimating the reference points.
I think the legs need to be longer.

Nice bug, nice V mask also
I'm happy with my most recent challenge: to fold a Hojyo Takashi Buddha from a 15x15cm regular wrapping paper

(it was close to a nightmare
