Well, basically it is the same tessellation as used in my bat but expanded to a 16x16 grid (it would be possible to expand it to a much larger grid as well). I can't remember having seen it elsewhere but it is so simple that probably someone has come up with it before.

Anna
your tessellation is great!
Talking about taking pictures-
1/You can try to take picture of your Tessellation against clear window so you 'll use the sun light and then we will see the background....
2/you can put the tessellation against a screan that doctors use to see
X-ray...
Still your pictures are fine!
Gila.

I tried the first method but the pictures didn't come out well and I tried really every mode my camera has (and that are lots of modes).
The second method sounds good, but I'm no doctor and my friend is fortunately out of the hospital now...

Anna, I was thinking that those tessellations would be very pretty window decorations. You could attach a small suction cup so it would stick to a window. Using colored paper would really accentuate the pattern. Just a thought :)

The suction cup would also show up in the back-lighting, though. It might be better to use pieces of tape  or something clear that covers the whole tessellation, like a window sticker or something.

Unfortunately all the sheet protectors I have aren't really clear, therefore the pics I took with them are a bit blurry.
I also tried to use tape to stick the tessellation to the window but the tape looked really ugly on the photos (but the background looks lovely).

Hi Anna. I am very glad to see you doing tessellations since they are almost my favorite origami.

Hint: Are you planning to put those on your Flickr account and upload them to the http://www.flickr.com/groups/origamitessellations/ tessellations group?

Now about the photos, even though not easy here's a great way:

Forcher's models are great and its variation of Joseph also. Thanks for sharing your new work!

I wanted to note tesselation group on Flickr, but Brimstone was quicker. Making photo against the window is possible, if you change settings of digital camera to correcting light by point instead whole screen. Then the tesselation will be nice and surrounding will be "overburned", but it is OK.

rambonit, congratulation to first photo-post. Your swan is great, it has great colors, I like it. 8)

I did my first new design in years last night. Sorry for the blurry picture. It was taken with my cell phone. I also put up some pics of old designs on my Flickr account

It's nice to see some photos to go along with the crease patterns.

I'm pretty sure that Sensei Wu knows very well.

My Fishy guide:

Go and buy a few sheets of A2 card in a light blue, very light blue, and a pale green colour. (A 2 is fairly large)

Place desired colour on a desk against a wall.

Blue tak two corners to the desk and two corners to the wall, so you have a curve between the two, without creasing the card.

Place an anglepoise lamp above the desk, and have the lights on in the room.

Place model on card.

Prop digital camera on tripod or a fixed mount.

Switch the flash off.

Switch the camera mode to whatever function exists for close-ups (the flower symbol on my Sony)

Go for it!

Thats what I use for my site most recently. The photo quality is reasonable for online photos, and costs no more that three sheets of card.

Enjoy,

Fishy
I once set up an origami PLC. But the business folded.

Sorry that didn't come out the right way. I was appreciating seeing the photos, not complaining about their previous lack.

I photograph stuff similarly to Fishy, but with a few slight differences. I use any large paper I have on hand as the backdrop. Sometimes I'll choose a paper that works especially well as a background for the given origami (see the most recent rabbit photos). And rather than using blue-tack, I just use removable tape.
