Froy, the turtle looks great. I'm glad to see a real photo of the finished model. What size paper did you use?

It should be a little problem with name here due to non-origamist translation of Gómez's book. This is probably brachiosaurus baby in original

My copy of Primer Nivel Dinosaurios says that this is supposed to be a diplodocus!

The Manta Ray paper looks like a découpage technique, very nice, though I don't think that rays look like that in the wild!
Does this one have gills on the underside like Fumiaki Kawahata's?

abauseind, that Caterpillar looks absolutely amazing! I just had a look at the diagrams and it looks so insanely simple. I really have to try it some day soon.

qtrollip: The crease pattern was published in Origami Tanteidan 104. The only other person I know to have posted a picture of the model on this forum is Artur.

origami_8: The paper is made of mulberry scraps that I bought from Hobby Lobby. I had been searching for a local store that sold mulberry paper for quite some time before I was able to find this scrap paper. The scraps are MCed together; the idea came from Brian Chan's Earwig model on his webpage.

InsomniacFolder: Yes, this model has gills as well. I like the paper but it tends to obscure details, such as the gills.

Thank you Pereze, I will check my Tanteidan magazines. I made a manta also, it's on my flickr page, and would be interesting to see what similarities they share!

I agree - that looks like the same model diagrammed here:

where it's called "Bebé Diplodocus". I've always liked it - I think it's got a lot of personality. You did a nice job on it, too.

Daydreamer--no one has commented, but I think your Baba Yaga's hut is adorable. I can practically hear the Mussorgsky piece when I see it.

I know Shafer has his book, but someone should totally release a book of "cute and funny" origami, and this hut (along with Johnnycakes knight crane) should definitely be in it.

Today I folded some of Michael Laffose's models as a wet folding exercise. All of them were wet folded from one uncut square of construction paper.
