I fold each ring from a 1:4 proportion paper and assembly is totally different. The strip left over after making a square from a Letter size paper is perfect for this.

i have just made my own dragon design.
however it is preatty pathetic and dosnt have any details just the main parts(head,neck,wings,tail,etc.)

hmm.. recently ive been working my way through the 11th tanteidan convention book, but keep refloding norobu miyajuma's shiba inu and nishikawa seiji's tosa inu because i cant shape them right after im done folding them to make the models look cute :x

does anyone else here have the 11th tanteidan convention book? i would be interested to know what they think of the models...

I really love that panda. I've folded it a loooot of times now and still think its cute and adorable :)

I folded the scaled koi from lang 8)

First i made a 11x11 (121) scaled pattern: (out of a 50cm x 50cm sheet)

Then i had to increase the pattern up to 13x13 scales (169), because the scales didn't cover the whole body :x

Then the hardest part: the scales :shock:

And finally i have a nice scaled koi out of foil paper: the model assumes a permanent form :lol:
