Artur: Nice rabbit!

Shore Crab designed by Brian Chan from AEP Convention 2008 - 26*26cm Uncut square

The size of finished model is about (cm): 8 in length, 8 in width and 5 in height.

I once fold this model from CP, but wasn't able to finish it like the way Brian Chan had diagrammed.

The rabbit is wonderful! The 3d effect makes it look adorable! Good job, Artur!
The fiddler crab is also well folded and the waterbomb is a nice addition, though from this view, the big pincer doesn't look much bigger than the small one.

That's because it's not a fiddler crab. It's a shore crab, if you had read the post more carefully.

Nice fold, Artur. I love how you've been folding all of Kamiya's models that no-ones ever heard of before. You must spend hours drawing cp's from convention photos...

legionzilla: Thank you , and just like ted385 said, Brian Chan published the diagram "Shore Crab", which both pincers were of equal size.

However, I did try to make the left pincer bigger than the right one :D

Orangutan
Designed and Folded by me, from 32cm mango paper. This is the first time I've done such a complex representational model with handmade paper, it was a good learning experience.

And just for fun, I did two of my snakes in one model:

Your orangutan is very cute! :D

The snake design looks very clever, but should be folded with better paper.

Your twin snake model is interesting. Is it the same base as Shafer's interlocking heart rings?

Oruhito: Spring indeed, so verdant, lovely. I particular like the side on angle as it shows off the three dimensional structure impressively, and makes a nice change to another backlit tesselation (I do like backlit tess's - this one has a bit more, as the profile shot shows)

ahudson: That is one tubby, cheery looking orangutang, very anthropomorphised - I like it though the extremities could use a little work.

Here is a new model that I have fold

Brian Chan's crow
Image

Folded from 60cm square lokta paper 50gr treated with methyl cellulose.
I think this model requires a kinda thicker paper, nevertheless I am quite happy with it.

^I don't know for sure, but I think that paper looks fine... the black works really well with the crow.

This is a new versions of an old model of mine, folded from a 35x35cm square of foil paper. It shows a statue of the twin goddesses Clare & Teresa, which appears in the Manga and Anime series Claymore.

The CP for the old version can be found on the Origami Austria homepage

I like the wings much better on this version. Colour-changing them in the earlier version was a bad idea. I had intended to make a new version of it for a while, but didn't get around to it until I wanted to have something new to show at the Origami Convention in Berlin-Erkner last weekend.

I didn't manage to take a good picture of the model at the convention, so here is a picture taken after coming home :-)
So long and keep folding ^_^

I finally got around to making more paper! Heres the first thing I made with it:
Sunburst's Fairy, from CP on his flickr. Not too hard, but I had some trouble with the bangs and the hands.

Zoraz, nice fairy, it is really tidily folded- the piece must be very thick since the wings are translucent while the body and dress are opaque.
Daydreamer, I like Claymore too! The new version looks much more tidily folded!
etoekles, yep, you should be happy! Good job!

Thanks for the compliments, Legionzilla! You're right, the body and neck especially got really thick during the shaping. I had to MC the neck, and "choke" her with a twist tie to get it to stay together!
