I wasn't quite happy with my first fold of the Aztec Twist (see page before), so I gave it another go. It's a design by Eric Gjerde, and this is my rendition from elephant hide:

Here is my first serious try at a design of my own - a cardinal bird. The proportions are not quite what I'd like them to be, but I hope you guys will find it's a decent first try :

That is a very nice cardinal! Legionzilla, Lafosse did not fail. He created a wonderful model, with great aesthetics. You did too gachepapier!

Thanks for the compliments !

From what I've seen from LaFosse's design, he had something very different in mind than me - it's probably hard to go go any further down Comparison Lane than to say "they're two representations of cardinals", though my own inclination is towards the design by Roman Diaz (no idea whether there is a diagram for that though) :)
