Lyrebird designed by Satoshi Kamiya from Origami Tanteidan Magazine 117 - 48*48cm Handmade paper, treaded with Methyl Cellulose

The size of finished model is about (cm): 12 in length, 12.5 in width and 17.5 in height.

I used 30*30 cm for my first try, and it turned out to be too thick and too small. 40 up size of paper seems to be a good choice :D

Nice lyrebird, Helliluya; the paper looks like very high quality paper, and looks very nicely made. Also, nice tail feathers :). As good as Kamiya's, for sure :D

Lovely folding.

And I love the photo, very professional. Off-centre is the new centre.

Very nice folding-clean, and neat (nice design, also). What paper is that? It reminds me of parchment or tracing paper.

Thanks insaneorigami!
You are right, it's just plain tracing paper with a wet finish.

Amazing design, like always! I'm still in awe at how you can get all these details from tracing paper, especially if this is the same size you normally use
