Yeah, I'm just starting and it's scary to see all of the stuff going on here and online.
I'm going to finish working through this starter book I've got before I even think about trying this much more complex origami (no matter how much I'd love to already be able to do it).

I started folding about six months ago and I find that while you fold you recognize more and more of the techniques used and everything gradually becomes much easier.
Treehopper by Robert J. Lang from 2cm x 2cm and 3cm x 3cm Japanese foil.
I've folded this model several times before from bigger paper and I always had the feeling that the result was far too big (even with 7cm paper). That's why I went for really small paper this time
