Great (Indian) Hornbill

Designed and folded by Quentin Trollip from an uncut 40cm square of black tissue mc'ed onto light yellow washi.

This is a progression of the Black Hornbill, as the tips of the wings are colour-changed, and the tail feathers have the stripe away from the end (thus making the colour-change more difficult in order to maintain a long tail).

Could the neck be colour-changed? Yes, but I didn't think it was worth the extra effort and then it would not be closed-back anymore.

as usual i like everyone else is in awe! looks so much like the real thing! too much like the real thing! and how you glue black tissue to yellow and it doesnt bleed through and mess up the paper, i dont know. guess thats another "how" next to all the other 'hows' i have about your works!

Second Attempt at Brian Chan's Leaf Katydid. Yes, I know the legs are supposed to be on the outside. Made with 15cm single tissue that I got from Origami USA like...a decade ago.

Third Attempt at the Katydid. This one is from an 18cm piece of Origamido.

Great Indy car! The size is just perfect. I'd love to be able to try that model for myself.
