Nicolas Terry sells rolls of that size (even more, because they are 50cm x 10m) at his page

Yes, that's where I got it from, but actually those rolls are perforated into 50cm x 65cm pieces. So you won't get that many big squares out of it. I'm mostly separating the pieces into 1x40cm, 2x25cm and 4x10cm which works without any wasted paper :-)

I thought Japanese foil was foil only (no white side), aren't the rolls on Nicolas Terry's site foil paper? Also, how do you like the way that foil folds compared to other foil?

Well, as far as I know, Japanese foil is the kind with white on one side, at least that's what I call it. The one from Terry's site is a bit thicker than what you usually get which makes the models a bit bulky if you get a lots of layers. Good thing about that is that it doesn't tear that easily at the edges. It's my preferred folding material at the moment :-)

Smilodon by Satoshi Kamiya from 25cm x 25cm Japanese foil
Image

I really like the way the details of the head and face are created in this model (althouth you can't see it that well on the picture...)
It also has a very nice 3D Body, but you definitely need some kind of foil paper for that model or otherwise it won't stay in shape. Wetfolding might work as well.

yes you're right, the one sheet mulberry paper are very thin so i have little trouble to give volume to the legs,i've tried to round it but didn't make it, so let them like it with a spiky effect

it's the first time that i fold this tarantula with a "pretty" satisfying result(has my eyes) for the next one i'll try to make the legs a little bit different but not sure to obtain the result that i want

This model requires really really thin paper, doesn't it? I have tried it once, but it turned out a mess.

maybe it would help if you would only fold the spikes inward to get a more round ending. the spider itself is wonderful, just the legs are too spikey :)

absolutely!!if not the model will become quickly thick and very difficult to work with
you can try with homemade tissue/foil but it's hard...

today i've retried the TARANTULA with few changes:
-tissue paper instead of mulberry(1 sheet)
-square of 25cm instead of 35cm

always treated with METHYL CELLULOSE,and i've followed your hint RealChris(thanks  but not again be able to round the legs...)
here's the result
