I just recently started doing complex models, I figured out that to make complex models you need great paper, it just can't be kami 6". So I used tracing paper... all models made out of 9 inch tracing paper. Authors are Lang and Montroll. And please criticize, That's why I'm letting the public see to get feedback and to see what I can work on!

First is my lobster! This was most fun to fold!

Second, a three headed dragon, kinda turned out wierd.

Third, a pegasus

Fourth, some devils (right devil, 6" kami)

Fifth, Hercules beetle (12" kami)
Image

Sixth, a crab , and both crab and lobster

And finally, some beetle I forgot the name of... and the author i think is montroll..

I love that black star fi-ori :D that top view looks amazing.

and very nice folds Lpatch =] the lobster looks great and your hercules beetle is a great example that complex models CAN be folded from kami, although its not the best choice of paper. keep up the good folding

alright, I will refold the Hercules beetle but with tracing paper....? Or what should I use to make it look realistic? I just got some tissue foil in from the origami shop... would that make it look cool?

oh no no no, i meant that it looks GREAT, you did a very nice job folding it. I meant that its a good example to show that you can fold complex models from kami. There was a discussion on this forum that kami isnt that great, but you showed that you can fold the hercules beetle from it and it turns out good ^_^
