I work as Linux/UNIX system administrator and maybe you know that "Tux" is our sign ;) So I folded few penguins and taped them on our office doors ;) I plan to make a lot more to cover whole doors ;)
Paper is standard copy paper printed with black color from one side (horrible thick paper, weakened by going through laser printer, tears a lot and make those nasty white creases on black colored side when folded, but that's the only paper I can get at our company :D )

Warthog Face
Image

For those interested, the CP was published in the Tanteidan 2011 Special Issue. This photo can help with the folding of the face.

Also, there is a problem with the text in the Tanteidan issue, the correct text should read:
"This design was based on achieving a mane on a closed-back model. The mane was obtained by point-splitting the corner of the “original” square. Two edge grafts added the paper for the rest of the head details in the form of one-and-a-half preliminary bases.
The raw corners show a complex way of forming the front legs around the layer of the chest- the reason is to prevent any folded edges on the surface of the body. The front and hind legs are of equal length.
The detail of the face and head is obtained by arranging the points and layers in such a way to yield the individual points for the warts, eyes, ears and color-changed tusks and facial hair.
Freeing the layers of the ears from the layers of the facial hair is quite difficult, as can be seen on the CP. There are extra points for a second pair of color-changed tusks if you feel to include them.
All the creases are based on 22.5 degrees and the reference points are easy.
You can position the folded warthog in different postures like running or standing as well, use photos of the real animal to guide you with this.

As there are many layers allocated to the facial details, use a thin and strong paper. Foil paper will also work well. Be careful not to rip the paper, especially at the seam when folding the model in half."

Lusitano Horse
Image

Designed and folded by Quentin Trollip from an uncut square.

We saw a show called "Cavalia", which is kind of similar to the famous Cirque du Soleil shows, but Cavalia is all about horses. It was the first time I saw a Lusitano horse and thought they had hair extensions done! But their hair (mane) is really this long!
So I thought I'd try an origami version...for my wife's birthday (she loved them)!

Koi Fish - Won Park
Paper: Old 1 dollar bill (regret that I could not find a newer bill)
Time: about 2 hours delicate work, my first try
Effort: the pre-creasing took the longest time, especially with the old bill
