OrigamiErik

Post by OrigamiErik »

Hey everyone. I have been folding pretty regularly with OrigaMIT over the past several months, and am part of an organization that uses origami and other paper craft to support linguistic development in economically developing countries.

Hope you like the pics. I am a relative newcomer to the world of origami, but have benefited greatly from being around such great artists. I will try to post whenever I finish something new. Thanks for looking.

Thanks again for looking. I have a couple more models completed that I need to photograph, and I will post them as soon as I do.

Great stuff! Particularly nice job on the Smilodon, that is a lovely fold.

I actually took four smaller sheets and taped them together. Lang describes how to do this in Origami Design Secrets so you won't see any tape seams. There are a couple times that you are folding through the seams so it's not the greatest way to do it, but it works.

I would have loved to have a roll of EH. Were do you get something like that?

Thanks a lot.

Senor, I see you are from Boston. Have you ever been to any OrigamMIT meetings?

Yeah, I go to the meetings every now and then. I met this dude named Erik there and we get together to fold sometimes.

Been working on a lot of new models. Hopefully I will get pics up soon. In the mean time, here is a koi I just finished. I blended a little Lang and a little Lafosse, and am pretty happy with the result. The model is about 6 inches in length and is folded from a single sheet of Origamido paper.

I thought about it, but decided that Origami<name> as a username lacks originality.
