Thanks very much! Don't worry, from CP I wouldn't be able to fold it either... I just know the folding sequence which makes it easy ;)
I agree about the fins, but they normally have short hindlegs anyway.Image
I think maybe making them an extra unit longer would be better but that would make the grid 25 and would result in wasted paper everywhere else. The CP is quite nice how it is and I don't want to really tamper with it. I think the folded model doesn't look too bad so it probably isn't worth my effort trying to modify the CP. Maybe using a larger piece of paper would solve the problem as you could shape it easier :)

Yes I saw your other pictures, I just thought it would be easier commenting in the one place rather than two. As for the caterpillar it's rather difficult to explain, you have to twist it around so it is on the same side as the butterfly. Then using a rather difficult and time consuming process the whole branch is then colour changed. The extra flaps are probably just some of the twigs, they can be shaped any way you want. Like I said earlier shaping is much more difficult than folding but don't worry, I think you did a good job :)

thank you :)

I had some alignment issues when folding because I folded one of the wings one unit off so it was extremely difficult to fold the things on for the caterpillar

Crease Pattern for my turtle. Grid of 24. Looks really confusing and complicated but it has a fairly easy folding sequence once you know what your doing ;) Hope you like it :D

Seahorse
Designed and folded by me from 1 uncut square. Inspired by Eric Joisels but this one has much simpler shaping. Folded from a fish base, 20cm Terry Foil :)

Fantastic! All it needs is a refold from smaller non-foil paper, and you're ready to enter the monthly challenge!

Thanks! Thats what it was designed for but I am not going to refold it, because it won't work as well with smaller copy paper...
