This used a three color pattern. I needed 1,110 phizz units to complete this. These are not two separate rings. Both rings are connected by a single section.
Robert Gretter's diagram gave me a foundation, but I used my own variation of it to complete my project. There are ten sections to the model. Each ring mirrors the other, so there are 5 distinct sections. Section 1= 139 units. Sections 2,3, and 4= 111 units. Section 5= 83 units. This totals 555 and doubled= 1,110.
P.S I plotted out my three color pattern on 5 sheets of printer paper, which simplified matters considerably.

Re: Origami torus 1,110 units: Pretzel double torus
My apologies. I deactivated my deviant account and forgot to re post the flicker links. In addition, Here's a video instructional diagram of a 3 color pattern torus to follow. The pattern is symmetrical, so repeating the diagram five times will give you a completed three color pattern torus ring. FYI, the three color pattern is my own work. Also, here's some extra 3 color pattern phizz project diagrams: dodecahedron and truncated icosahedron.

Well, that happens when you dig out a year old topic. The internet is moving constantly, things appear and things vanish. If you see something you want to keep you should save it on your hard disc in time, as there is no guarantee that it will still be available later.
