Thanks! This piece ended up a bit more mushroomy than I intended, but it's all good :)

My latest design is still in progress, but I decided to share some photos of what I've done so far.

I've put a lot more photos and a journey through the design and folding process so far on my website at http://rebecca.gieseking.us/2014/02/wor ... ions-bowl/

Posted as request by Long Quach. I don't take credit for this. Credit goes to him

If you want to understand Rebecca's diagonal shift look here. No one breaks down an idea to its Euclidean "elements" like Long Quach.

I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Yes, I'm fully aware of what Long Quach has been posting. I actually wrote a computer script when I started designing these forms that does all the math for the diagonal shift (although I then tweak the "mathematically precise" dimensions to account for paper thickness). I've shared several crease patterns, and I would be happy to share more of the math if anyone asked me for it.

If you want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me.

Thanks so much! After spending a long time folding mostly neutral-colored models, I was very ready to add some more color :)
