If you want to understand Rebecca's diagonal shift look here. No one breaks down an idea to its Euclidean "elements" like Long Quach.

Yes, I'm fully aware of what Long Quach has been posting. I actually wrote a computer script when I started designing these forms that does all the math for the diagonal shift (although I then tweak the "mathematically precise" dimensions to account for paper thickness). I've shared several crease patterns, and I would be happy to share more of the math if anyone asked me for it.
