Fun facts: I had to put 1 €cent inside the tail to make it stand.

It's been a while since I last posted here, but in the meantime I kept on practicing, bought some tissue foil online (merry Christmas to myself
), and managed to fold one of my targets...
(yet I have to learn to take photos of origamis, these don't look so good
)

Very nice looking phoenix!
When taking photos, the most important thing is light. Enough light and you'll get away with pretty much everything else. Natural light is the easiest, with artificial light you may need more than one lamp.

Thank you!
Well I've never tried natural light... I'll give it a try as soon as I can, thank you for the advice

Try taking the picture next to the window in broad daylight without the flash. They will look alot better. Nice folds btw, keep it up!

They are way better photos
.
I particularly like the last one.
You could also edit them a bit with software.

Here I am again!
Some better photos of the same Phoenix I posted some days ago, and a refold of the Elephant by Satoshi Kamiya. This is also the first time I use my newborn little website (with a lot of issues yet to be solved, and a graphic theme that I'm going to completely rewrite by myself) to host and publish my folds!
It's still quite empty, but feel free to take a look around if you don't have anything better to do

Time for some more models! This time I have two refolds of models already folded (as you can see in the previous pages of this gallery), while the other two are brand new ones.
I'm also proud to announce that the restyling of my website is almost done: I still have to arrange some little details and squash some bugs, but it's almost in its final form. Again, feel free to take a look (on the homepage you can see my gallery so far) and don't forget to leave a comment, even it's a 'your skills are terrible'

Great folds!
Gilgado's Prehistoric Squirel is really hard to shape in order to make him look like the character. Have you seen Atilla Yurtkul's fold of the model?
What paper did you use for Maekawa's White Peacock?

I didn't know that fold of the Prehistoric Squirrel, but I've just seen it on Facebook... It's incredibly close to the original! I'm definitely going to give it another try sometime, perhaps using a bigger sheet of paper: the one I used is 20cm x 20cm, far too small to shape the model well.
For the White Peacock I used a simple yet beautiful 20x20cm sheet of white tissue foil paper, although the photograph didn't catch its classic glitteriness.
Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
