An easy spinning top that requires one piece of paper. This is one of the very first models I designed and like most it has gone through it's own transformations. The original model required two pieces of paper the handle which was a fortune teller with the flaps shortened and a 'cap' to go over the end to allow it to spin. I was using very soft beautiful paper to design my models and when I tried to repeat my model using stiffer more everyday paper the 'cap' no longer fit and in my adjustments to try and fix this I discovered this version.
I am posting this now as it is one of the easier fun models for people to try.

Hollow knight, designed and folded by me from 15cm kami. 18x18 box-pleated.
I am REALLY happy with how this one turned out. I got pretty much all the details in, from the eyes and legs to the nail (sword), cape, and even the little splits in the horns at the top, which are a little hard to see in this photo.
Because of the colour change body, the neck transition is pretty messy and definitely not flat foldable, but it does the job, and it's not too much of a problem. I almost can't remember the last time I designed a model that didn't have at least one part bodged together.

I am exploring the use of a different method of creating an instructional video that mixes different recording methods and more detail about elements of the design. This is a relatively easy fold but I have taken time to explain some of the different elements of the design. The purpose is to provide information that may aide other designers to modify and use this example. I welcome constructive criticism about how this video might be improved as well as how effective this might be in aiding further exploration and adaptation of this design.
