I agree. I've been making attempts at designing stuff but I never post it because I guess I want to wait till I'm totally happy with it. And I think I want to learn from CP's before really diving into designing.
You inspired me to fold that wolf too, so I made my second attempt at it from the CP and got it right this time. But while folding it, it made me wonder how Komatsu even designed this model since it's so different but so beautiful...

I love Komatsu's Wolf. It has one of the most perfect folding sequences I've ever seen. It involves virtually no precreasing, and uses a very ordinary reference point. The whole folding sequence flows, in a non-arbitrary but non-predictable manner. And the finished product is your usual Komatsu-style representation of an animal.JeossMayhem wrote:I agree. I love Komatsu's models, they're all so fresh and different, yet they all have Komatsu's signature touch, AND they can be folded with ordinary origami paper.
By the way, it begins similarly to Kawahata's Yoda.

Hmm Yoda ey? I'm working on folding it without the printed out CP but I started by folding a side into fifths and then tenths to work my way to that middle point (I'm pretty sure this works, I measured lengths of the segmens with Photoshop). I need to figure out how to make it without preceasing next...
I wish I had more diagrams of his models but on the other hand, I think I'm going to be using his site for my CP studies. Someday I'm making the lion!!
