Howdy!

It's been over a month, but I finally got my computer fixed.

It's time for me to get my own thread. Everything in it is my own design.

I have a Flickr gallery at http://www.flickr.com/photos/oriholic/

Here are some recent photos:

Jared, I think your designs are great on numerous aspects.
Firstly, I can see that you put alot of thought into the efficacy of the paper usage.
You also use excess paper well, example the neck fur of the Bear.

The Diplocaulus is all in all flawless/super. Alot of attention to detail (fin on the tail) and proportions (length of the legs and toes coming from a closed-back model).

I also like the Mamenchisaurus, especially the geometry of the CP. I do think the tail is a bit thin, but then I dont know what a real Mamenchisaurus looks like! It was obviously not a showpiece fold, but I think it would look some better with a curved neck and better paper.

I like the body of the Plesiosaurus, but think you could have done more with the head. The closed body design has great potential for other designs, like a sea turtle also.

And then there's Towelie - great stuff!

I hope to see alot more of your excellent designs.

Your Diplocaulus looks great. The little toes are a nice touch. The bear has a simple, yet effective appearance to it and it looks fantastic.

Aahaha the towelie is great, very funny! Wanna get high? Huh, dosen't sound as good in message without a high pitch impersonation. Anyways keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot, y'all!

I updated the Mamenchisaurus. It has a detailed head now.

Lookin' right.

JVega, we'll see. I most likely won't be making a complete set of diagrams. I don't have the drawing ability to fully diagram the towel. Also, I kind of just made the rest up as I went along, so I don't really know exactly what I did for the arms and legs. I do have a CP for the arms, but I can't remember if it was the one I actually used. I don't have one for the legs. My two favorite parts, the ones I spent lots of time developing--the towel and eyes, do have very well defined CPs/foldings, so these are a definite possibility. The mouth is basically just a preliminary fold which was blintzed first to make sure none of the reverse side shows, then sunken and shaped.

Glad to see you like it as much as I do!!

Well, if you post a CP for the towel maybe I could fold the remaining parts on my own. I think I saw some eyes like these at Halle books (Cartoon origami).

The feet looks like the "real" towelie and that's and important detail that should not be lost.

In anyway, I would like to fold that for a friend of mine =D

Thanks!!
