@fncll - Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! The star tessellation was actually folded from a hexagon of metallic wrapping paper.

Flower - Evan Zodl
Designed and folded February 2012
(Folded from a decagon cut from a 20cm x 20cm sheet of Korean hanji)

I have been working on this design for a while now, and overall I am pretty satisfied with the result. There are strong locks behind each of the petals, so the model is very stable and holds its shape. All comments are greatly appreciated! If there is enough interest, I would definitely consider diagramming this model or at least posting the CP! Please let me know what you think!

Yes yes yes! I have a hard time with CPs, but I would try. This is very attractive and having strong locks is great... many don't.

Very nice flower. If you post CP or diagrams I would love to try them.

decagon.
pentagon = 5 sides
decagon = 10 sides

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words, I really appreciate it! :)

Star Icosahedron - Evan Zodl
Designed and folded March 2012
(Folded from twenty hexagons of tant)

I have been trying to perfect this design for some time now, and I am finally satisfied with the result. My goal was to incorporate the EZ Star into each of the units, and the great part about this model is that, just like the original EZ Star, more stars can be stacked on top of of one another on each of the units!

Overall, the locks on each unit hold the model together quite well. The inside of the model looks pretty neat too! This is my first modular model, so I would love know what you think of it!

All comments are greatly appreciated! If there is enough interest, I would definitely consider diagramming this model.

i'm not trying to be mean, but if you don't have a post that isn't going to be more than 2 words, DON'T POST IT.

you have a lot of posts, and 50% of them are saying something is cool.

please, provide some constructive criticism with it or something. say why you like it.

and like i said: if this sounded mean i didn't mean for it too. its just one of my great pet peeves :oops:

I was about to say the same thing...

Well, back in topic I'm interesed in that modular, you should totally diagram it. (I'm not a fan of modulars, but looks nice)

I think i should re explain what i meant.
it doesn't matter how small your post is, as long as you get your point accross.

If you like someones model, then you should say something like:
Thats a really cool model, *name*. *say you favorite thing or something you see wrong with the model here*
and not:
cool
Also, Evan,i'm guessing you don't live in S. Korea, so where the hell did you get Hanji?
I NEED some of that paper badly.
