Re: What have you folded lately?
After getting eliminated from round 1 of the IOIO, I've been trying to work on my photography for next year. To practice, I folded and photographed Shuki Kato's bracchiosaurus, Satoshi Kamiya's Asiatic Elephant, and Satoshi Kamiya's sabertooth tiger.

How many heads does it have..if I slice one off does it grow back...?
Re: What have you folded lately?
Thank you ! It has 8 heads. If you slice one head off, it wont grow back , unless you use glue

New fold of: Pedal Bin.
I created the model in 2013. It's composite origami, made of five rectangular sheets of different sizes, and it includes a bit of boxboard and Formica in order to work. No cuts and no glue.
In general terms I like the pictures, especially the first two. You were able to create a story through the composition and also express which is the subject without needing to place it in the center of the frame.NeverCeaseToCrease wrote:After getting eliminated from round 1 of the IOIO, I've been trying to work on my photography for next year. Re: What have you folded lately?
I have folded a bunch of cats.
Roman Diaz' one is the best looking piece. I used sandwich paper, tissue foil on both sides.
I actually made a blog post about them.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Very dramatic fold and picture of Satoshi Kamiya's Unicorn. Loved it!
A fold I made of Mary Anne's Butterfly created by Robert Lang. I learned from him how to fold it, through the web, during PCOC 2017 .

Re: What have you folded lately?
ORIGAMI GAUTAMA BUDDHA!
Designed and folded by me from a single uncut square sheet of 75 cm sheet of tracing paper
96 grids box-pleating
Finished Model Size: 17 cm
Time to fold: I've lost count...6 days+ maybe
As a kid I watched a lot of Cartoon Network, which was so much better than today. One Sunday morning, an animated movie by the name "The Legend of Buddha" came on, and somehow, it hit me really deep! The ashtang marg (eightfold path) really intrigued me, but I obviously haven't attained enlightenment XD
Point is, old Cartoon Network was so cool!
This model is dedicated to you 隆興贺 ! Hope it lives up to your expectations.
In a way, it's dedicated to all the great masters - Mr. Hojyo Takashi, Mr. Ronald Koh, Mr. Leo Lai, ObeLisk...I drew inspiration from all of their designs:) Especially the Mucilanda (Snake/Naga) is a clear interpretation of Mr. Koh's Cobra.
Shaping could be better, but I've already spent 2-3 days on that. The Ryuzin scales could be done, but that would be an overkill
Ref. Image:
It's probably my most complex design. Now back to studies
Hope you all like it!
Happy Holidays
