[originally: Gallery of Luke C.]

So, I guess I have enough content to start a gallery?

This is my reproduction of The Thinker, by Rodin.

I designed it using box pleating. Its double tissue foil.
30x30 cm

Rock is a separate piece of paper randomly crumpled up.

This is the face (blurry) :?

i HOPE to see some more creative work of your own - FUL(l) of FOLDS as expressive as your thinker!
if you're going to visit my little flickr_gallery, please leave a comment - a critical one is welcome, too, if necessary: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57625237@N02/

It is just miura-ori. It's rigid foldable and is probably one of the most famous patterns in origami. It's also known as the miura ori map fold, since the fact that it is rigid foldable is very useful for folding up maps- just one tug and the whole map opens!
Since miura- ori is quite old, several variations have been made on it such as MARS and the yoshimura pattern. Tactom on flickr has done many variations on miura- ori.

I am somewhat unsatisfied with the result of my Discus Thrower. It is supposed to be the Discolobus statue, but there are too many wrinkles, although the shape and proportions seem reasonable. However, I do think that the CP is good, and I am going to upload it soon so people can try to fold this better than I can. What do you think about it?

While drawing the official CP of the Discus Thrower, I found problems with the center part, and I found out that that was the reason why the body did not seem to work. (Hence the wrinkles)

I am currently revising it.

Also, I am going to refold it with better paper.

It is complete! It also might have errors.

If you can't get the center right, look at my flickr because I have photos on how to do it. Also, there are helpful notes. So you should probably go to my flickr.
