I was aiming for a tulip. It's sort of an in-between I guess, so I'll settle for a young rosebud. Designed and folded by me.

Woot! Finally designed a dragon:

It's from a bird base, has 4 legs, 2 wings, a tail and a head. I plan to add some details now that I've got everything worked out. Also I expect the Wyvern video to be done by Sunday.

It only took a few more hours of toying with it to come up with v1.5:

I'm not done with this guy yet, but this version is the scariest it'll ever be so I'll put him in the June competition. I plan to keep him easier than this with better distribution around the legs so they aren't as thick.

The Wyvern tutorial is now all filmed. I am in the editing phase right now and it's looking to be about 2 or 3 parts, most likely 3 due to my 15 minute time limit on Youtube.

On to some of my flower designs:

This is an update to the structure of 1.0. Now I can peacefully move on to other things. It's got the storybook look that I was aiming for, otherwise at some other date I could try some crazy insane head that seems to be necessary with all origami dragons. :P

So I went to upload the parts and discovered that my time limit has been removed by Youtube. I may go back at some later point and upload the full 35 minutes, but for now here is the Wyvern Tutorial, parts 1, 2, and 3:

Part 1: http://youtu.be/YoVQN-nbeFM

Part 2: http://youtu.be/QpnGD3PEuaw

Part 3: http://youtu.be/GYQyyP_kbQM

Send me a photo of your result if you can, I'd like to make sure I taught it correctly.

I'd love to give this a try soon.
Hm, I saw that your tutorial suggested thick copy paper--would thick kraft work as an alternative?
A tiny place to post my things. Enjoy~
