It looks like something Jeremy Shafer would design XDBaltorigamist wrote:Here's an older design of mine that I just got around to refolding last night: my Four-Legged Crane With A Crane With A Crane On Its Back On Its Back.

Re: Baltorigamist
I have diagrams in the works for the Cyclommatus, and yes, the 4LCWACWACOIBOIB is Shafer-esque--but I assure you that I developed it completely independently.
Re: Baltorigamist

Re: Baltorigamist
Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up that I'm not dead designing-wise--the models I'm working on are being really tricky. I'll have them up as soon as I can.

^ I wouldn't know one from the other or which one's which creature. I just happened to have a lot of pink kami.

Re: Baltorigamist
I don't know much about designing models. Can you tell me what these numbers are? What do they exactly say?Baltorigamist wrote: Going up from the bottom left:
.35356
.70711
Up from bottom right:
.26588
.73412
And that doesn't even factor in the grafts for the toe splits, which I didn't draw due to laziness (Oripa needs a "bring-point-to-edge-from-a-given-point" feature).
btw, you're a good folder.

Those numbers are the reference points for the main flaps on the model.
Place the square in Quadrant I of a graph (+,+) with the lower left corner on the origin. The opposite corner is at (1,1).
Measure and mark the points I listed {(0,0.35356); (0,0.70711) and (1,0.26588); (1,0.73412)]. Mirror them over to the other side over the line of symmetry, and you have all the basic creases for folding the base.
