Still finding new variations with grafting and new ways of folding the base I invented. This model does take alot from the paper. It's tissue foil and it still ripped.

Brilliant design! Is it closed-back?

@ origamigeek. Wow thank you, that is a great compliment!

@ balotorigamist. Thanks, it is fully closed back indeed. Got some more advice on how to make the model better looking, and I made one with more expensive paper, but thicker so I had to do a wetfold finish to keep the model in shape.
I'll post pictures of both soon.

It looks more like a real Kangaroo, and not a stereotypical one that is portrayed by the media.

Kangeroo with tissue
Made the tail thicker and shortened the neck and forelegs a bit more.

That means a lot, especially since your from australia. You get too see them in real life. I had to do al my shaping on pictures from google.

It actually looks like a wallaby, now that i come to think about it, or maybe one of the smaller grey Kangaroo species. I actually don't get to see a lot of kangaroo's, living in sydney, but the way they are photographed online gives the wrong image of their posture, and behaviours, and i can say that for a definite.

I believe it's a red kangeroo. I used this picture to do the shaping of the model:

Since I am free for a couple of days, I decided to do a horse study and design a horse while I'm at it.
All models below are done with a square of 25cm x 25cm tissue foil.

Refolded the aardvark 2 more times and decided that it would be better closed back. Have been fiddling around to make it work. The ears are bit shorter now, but the overall look of the model is lots better.

Done with a 30cm square of tissue paper: Black-foil-black-white this way it looks greyish.

I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment on the model/design
