Re: Monthly CP Challenge: March 2014
Izzy though it would be encouraging to fold this model, i highly suggest that you start with a simpler CP.
My suggestion would be Gen Hagiwara's ( the same author) Mouse http://www.flickr.com/photos/gen_hagiwa ... otostream/
Then gradually try harder CPs

If it ends in a tie, Mir can choose the next CP if he wants to!

It's a tie.

I'm the only person that got the shaping right, and I placed a distant third?
Hm, now I remember why I don't come here much.

if it makes any difference, andrew, i, for one, am glad to find you haven't "retired."ahudson wrote:I'm the only person that got the shaping right, and I placed a distant third?

i would point out something like 20 people voted. you've faded and the majority of people posting in the thread have no idea who you are.

who cares if people posting don't know who he is? You vote based on what model looks best, not based on who you know...bethnor wrote:i would point out something like 20 people voted. you've faded and the majority of people posting in the thread have no idea who you are.
The only limit in origami is your imagination and your patience

i don't know which happened. i have no dog in this hunt, but it does appear that andrew's proportions are closest to the original.Langko wrote:

Re: Monthly CP Challenge: March 2014
Of course the point of the challenge is not to fold the CP closest to the original but is to fold the crease pattern itself.
Winning should only be secondary, and to do that you have to impress people. Yellerdude certainly expanded on the CP given and made a different breed of dog--standing out of the crowd and for that he certainly was recognized.
