Check out this topic for Terry Nicholas's book, "License to Fold," which includes Giang Dinh diagrams for the Dreaming Cat... similar to the dog except for the head.

I've been doing some research about the ethics and legality of reverse-engineering, and thought I'd share my results:

http://www.chillingeffects.org/reverse/faq.cgi#QID195
http://searchcio-midmarket.techtarget.c ... 15,00.html

Basically, reverse-engineering is legal, if you're working from a legally obtained object. Any photo is fair game, as long as the photo was legally obtained (sometimes an artist, museum, or gallery will prohibit the use of photography in their exhibit)

I folded Hojyo Takashi's Chambered Nautilus from simply looking at the model... ...not that it is that difficult of a model... I am still proud of myself though :D

ummm, dude, I unlike most people here do not have a flickr or other origami site. I will make one soon, but honestly, look at the original model, does it really look that difficult? Here, how 'bout this, I'll tell you how I folded it:

Pleat the paper diagonally like a basic fan fold; leaving some paper un-pleated at the edges. Then, undo some of the pleats along the diagonal axis. use the excess paper that bunched up at the bottom to make the tenticles.
I know that these are not very good text instructions, but it's the best I can do for now...

And now, I will study for a post-winter break chinese test

And, in answer to your question, it is coming soon...

You do not need a flickr account to post pictures (but it is free and easy to use, so there is no reason not to have one), you can for example upload them to http://www.imageshack.us/ and post the direct link here.

And Brimstone isn't the only one who wants to see a picture of your success :)

Good, I was under the impression I needed a website of my own... I'll definitely post some pics up soon...

thanks origami_8 :D

Also, brimstone, I'm really sorry if I sounded like an idiot when you made your simple request for a photo, I was in a bad mood that day...

PS., the edit was for grammatical reasons

I think this thread is great and has shown how versatile some folders can be. Great works Anermak and Artur.
