It's a very impressive model. Gen Hagiwara is a great designer.

Just to point out that this model already has diagrams.

I remember somebody said that this could not be done again. No CP challenges of models with diagrams.

Remember this is internet, we can not be sure if you really challenged your self to fold from CP.

i was just wandering, but is it possible to change this month's cp challenge to a model which is not diagrammed?
like Kaede Nakamura's Butterfly

or his angelfish

I really wouldn't do the anglefish if I were you, you have to use a paper that's the same colour on the both sides, because the model kind of reverses half way through but you can't tell because mountain valley folds are not marked in. I haven't tried the butterfly yet but it might be a better choice ifyou switch models.

Frankly, I had no idea this model was diagramed and probably would not have ever found out if it hadn't been for this topic, and it might not be a good idea to change it. If you do, then a simple model would be better to fit into the shorter time for the rest of the month.
If you win you can always suggest these models some other time c:

I don't see a problem with using the lion, if you use the diagram you are only cheating yourself really. It's not like there is a cash prize, is it. Cheating would be kind of odd behaviour...

I agree with Edg. It's just a friendly competition - more like a motivation to exercise your CP skills.

I agree with Edg and jsrn. It's not a competition with prizes, but only fun. If someone doesn't want to be satisfied with folding this model from cp, that's his problem.
