Monthly Folding challenge June 2016
This month's topic is musical instruments. It can be any instrument, or even someone playing one, or anything related to musical instruments. l0lm4tt will judge this months entries.
I am a thirteen year old origami folder and designer.

For questions like this is that some months ago, it was suggested that the name of the thread should be "Monthly Design Challenge".jakea wrote:does it to be my own design?
Jakea; yes it has to be your own design, specifically created for this challenge.

Here it is my guitar. (Sorry for the paper because is too thick.)
Question: Can I post multiple models?

Re: Monthly Folding challenge June 2016
Hi all,
I have been following these challenges for ages. This is the first time I will be competing. This square piece of silver foil paper had a starting size of 25 x 25 cm. The final design is only 7 cm long. The trumpet design uses a 32 x 32 square grid to accommodate box pleating.
This is also the first time I will be posting images so bear with me. I have read the instructions about posting images so I think it will work

Triangle with a beater. I've waited for inspiration and this was my last minute upheaval of creativity.
Fish base and lots of sinking.
Probably not my best work, but it was still a fun fold.

Going for more out of the ordinary, I designed a Theremin. It's not the best, but here it is
Re: Monthly Folding challenge June 2016
This was a difficult decision because one entry was kind of a playable musical instrument.
I am going to give first place to BM-origami design for his well detailed trumpet (the shiny paper adds to the realism
2nd place goes to firstfold with his paper phiddle (it could inspire more playable musical instruments made of origami)
3rd place is Baltorigamist's violin (I would love to see the final version)
Many thanks to everyone for all your entries.
