It's finally October. There were some very clever - very interesting entries in the September challenge.

The bronze medal goes to Fossilized Alien by Tankoda. It's a great example of pictorial origami. The idea of finding a fossile like that would be incredible. In the future, maybe you can think of a variation of the model with the shape of a rock, with volume, and with the alien inside :). Just an idea... I don't even know if it's possible.

Silver medal goes to -sebl-'s model. It's a very original and very believable alien. The color change was quite clever, generating the alien's robe and eyes. And like if all that wasn't enough... the model includes a second alien!

And now... drum roll please...

... the gold medal goes to Yoda by Jeko. Such simplicity! And look at the delicate folds that give Yoda a lifelike appearance! Having chosen the right colors, I'm sure anyone can recognize it even without the name. Congratulations Jeko!

Continuing, I want to include a special mention for Alien Abduction by Baltorigamist. A very original and properly materialized concept. If it were possible to change the white color for gray, it would've looked even better. Also, I really hope you'll take a picture of the model from a high place so you can fake an abduction in situ by using the right angle :P.

Congratulations as well to the other participants :D. And thank you Edg once again for this challenge. That being said, Jeko will judge the October challenge and he will choose the theme for November's.

I didn't think about that... pretty clever!
