I'm with Tankoda. The Monthly Challenge should be just that, a monthly challenge. If there are just a few entries it might have different reasons. One may be time and with the IOIO running that's probably a big factor, but there is also interestingness of the topic. 61% of those participating in the poll voted against this subject. There's no way to know whether those are exactly those people who might have participated in the challenge if they liked the subject better. There are a couple of other reasons but I think that stretching the timeframe wouldn't bring so much more entries. Therefore it is kinda useless.

That is true, since probably voted against this month's challenge if I remember correctly

Those are very good points. Are there any other opinions?

If not then there's now just four days, from today the 28th up to the 31st, for you to submit your models.

Everybody, today and tomorrow are the last two days of the challenge. I really do hope to see new submissions before the challenge is over.

Here's my super quick design of war:

Edit: Single square of 15 cm kami, no cuts or glue. Finished model depicts a gun with the word "war" on ot and is 7 cm wide.

That's great news. Please don't forget the following...

-State the details of the model along with the picture: Type of material? Number of sheets? Shape of each sheet? Size of each one and of the finished model? Cuts? Glue?

No last minute entries? So everybody wins a medal this month, silver and gold were extremely close:

Bronze: noneuclidean, very cool idea, but as you said yourself "quick design" -> a little bit more polishing required

Silver: -sebl-, very clean design, a classic sebl

Gold: Nepafarius, besides being an awesome model, it makes excellent use of this month's rules

Congratulations to all the winners! Nepafarius gets to judge the November design challenge and to pick to topic for December.

Thanks Jeko! I actually had thought of exactly the same order regarding the models presented :D. Nepafarius had to win the gold with his model! Thank all of guys for participating in my challenge ;).

I would've loved seeing some more models. I came up with ideas like a bull that's bleeding a lot (bullfighting as a form of violence against animals), a female face with a black eye (violence against women), and a extremely skinny child like with his or her ribs being very visible (famine). Those where just three ideas I had, but I'm sure there are others that are a lot better :).
